Lincoln Park Building Cleaning Project

Location: 2210 N Orchard St – Lincoln Park, Chicago

This project involved exterior building cleaning of a multi-story masonry building located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. The building exterior consisted primarily of brick with limestone trim that had accumulated years of atmospheric pollution and biological staining.

Buildings throughout Lincoln Park are exposed to urban pollution, vehicle emissions, and seasonal moisture, which can discolor masonry surfaces over time. Because brick and limestone react differently to pressure washing, the cleaning process must be carefully controlled.

For this project, we used controlled steam pressure washing and masonry restoration cleaners designed specifically for Chicago masonry buildings.

Each surface required a specific cleaning method to safely remove contamination while protecting the building materials.
